We all know very well that human conflict is simply the everyday reality of living in this world. It seems that much of our books, talk shows, conversations are seeking to address this issue. What we learn from our text is that what is most essential to harmony is a certain kind of environment which allows for conflict to exist and cease to exist due to certain gospel-produced qualities in the church. In our text, we see what the gospel actually produces in order for the much-needed harmony in the church to exist. (Php 4:2-9)

In doing so, he shows us how to identity false teaching and how to be clear about true Christian hope and security. In summary, Paul tells us that gospel error is focused with the glory of what we can acquire and boast about concerning earthly things and Christian hope is focused entirely on what Christ has for us in heaven and what He will bring to fruition one day from heaven. (Php 3:17-4:1)
