Even though the church had been given a universal charge to bring the gospel they were still stuck in Jerusalem. Our text shows us the things that God does to move us out of our small circles into His bigger and broader Christ-centered purposes. (Ac 8:1-7)

People always try to biblically defend their Jesus absent religion and so it is that the church must learn to discern, debate, and disciple in the midst of these challenges. In this part of the text, we learn how to trust Christ to do the will of God in these situations. (Ac 7:54-60)
