Ruth—Romance and Redemption

Ruth is a love story written in a time when Israel was under the law and was doing whatever they felt like doing. The question needs to be asked for them and us as to what is the solution to us, seeming to be no better under a system of law but still the same rebel under a moral system. Ruth shows us that God's solution to rebellion under a system of law and morality is nothing less than a perfect brother and husband who owns our debts and credits us with His riches. Ruth shows us that the gospel of Christ who fulfills law and brings in the era of grace is the solution to our law issue.
